VALA2020 – the 20th Biennial Conference convened by VALA – Libraries, Technology and the Future – is the pre-eminent Conference in this region for decision-makers within the libraries, galleries, archives and museum sectors.
VALA2020 will be held in Melbourne from 11-13 February 2020 to an audience of over 1,000 participants.

Exhibitors can select from our popular Upgraded Exhibition Stands or the Standard Exhibition Stand; raw space is available for those seeking a custom build. First-time exhibitors are invited to join the VALA Marketplace in the economical Exhibition Pods, a returning feature of the VALA2020 Exhibition Hall.

The Exhibition is an integral element of the Conference and will provide the marketplace for valuable networking and education and the opportunity to meet face to face with your target audience. With Plenary sessions and Concurrent sessions being held in the Goldfields Theatre and all other rooms in close proximity, delegates will be able to move seamlessly between sessions and visiting the adjacent Exhibition Hall.
All catering for delegates will be served in the Exhibition Hall, making it the focal point for networking with your potential customers.

VALA2020 will be held at the Melbourne Convention Exhibition Centre (MCEC) from 11 – 13 February 2020. Since VALA2018, the MCEC has completed a state of the art expansion to its conference facilities and in 2020, VALA is excited to be utilising this new meeting space to deliver a fully integrated Conference Program and Exhibition.

The VALA2020 website is a dedicated space for all information relating to the Conference. It is regularly updated and widely viewed, and includes current program and social information, alongside a dedicated page for sponsors and exhibitors where your details will be showcased.
Regular VALA2020 EDMs to the full VALA database are scheduled to go out once a month until August, increasing to fortnightly September through December, weekly throughout January 2019 and then daily through February. With above-industry-average readership, VALA EDMs are a trusted source of information and exposure for our conference partners
VALA2020 Mobile App
The VALA2020 Mobile App will be available for download prior to the Conference, providing vendors with the opportunity to connect with delegates pre-and post- event. The Mobile App community is growing every conference and in 2020 our aim is for 80% delegate engagement (in 2018 there were over 600 active App users).
VALA’s network is strongly connected through social media including Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter – in 2018, over 8,000 tweets were generated during the 3 days of conference. Regular VALA2020 updates including sponsor information and links will be posted.
