Linux Australia Diversity Scholarship

Applications for the Linux Australia Diversity Scholarship for VALA Tech Camp 2023 are open.

The purpose of the Linux Australia Diversity Scholarship is to encourage and enable attendance at VALA Tech Camp 2023 by people who are not normally well-represented at VALA events and/or in the industry, due to disadvantage of one kind or another.

Through its partnership with Linux Australia, VALA will make a total amount not exceeding $2750 AUD available to the approved Diversity Scholar, to support pre-approved travel costs (including transport, transfers and accommodation) to attend VALA Tech Camp 2023 in Melbourne, Victoria. In addition, the scholarship includes a full registration to VALA Tech Camp 2023. 

The scholarship is open to 

  • Any Australian person of Indigenous heritage; and/or 
  • Any Australian person who resides in a regional, rural or remote location that would reasonably prevent their attendance at a VALA Tech Camp 2023 in Melbourne

Submitting an application is simple: fill in our online form with your details along with a short paragraph explaining why you want to come to Tech Camp 2023 and how this will impact your career.
