VALA will hold the 2021 Annual General Meeting on Wednesday 30 June 2021. We invite members only to the AGM, which will be delivered via the Zoom platform.
VALA’s 2021 AGM is an important opportunity for members to contribute to and influence VALA’s future. The key proposals on the AGM agenda this year include:
- Change to VALA’s financial year – to bring it in line with the calendar year
- Introduction of a new Concession membership type
- Election of the incoming Committee
Other minor changes to VALA’s Rules of Association will also be proposed for member consideration.

In addition, we are calling for Nominations to important vacancies on the VALA Committee and other key volunteer roles on the Organising Committee for the VALA2022 Biennial Conference and the VALA Finance Sub-Committee. These are valued roles within a strongly-connected professional network, and we welcome expressions of interest from eligible members.
Elections and/or appointments to the VALA Committee will be conducted during the AGM; appointments to other volunteer roles will be determined by the incoming Committee at its first meeting in July.
