“Under the Hood” is a collaboration between VALA and members of our loyal vendor community to provide GLAM IT practitioners with a real look at the structure and mechanics of technology solutions, products and works in progress. This is not a sales pitch, but an opportunity to test drive, analyse and contribute to the development of real solutions for our industry.
“Under the Hood” will be delivered as a Zoom webinar, free to attend for anyone in the VALA network. We will enable live Q&A and the event will be recorded for free VOD at any time. To maximise access from all ANZ timezones, the live event will be scheduled between 12.00midday and 1.00pm AEST.
Topic: Under the Hood with Informit
Informit Maestro: A new way to partner and publish.
Maestro is a foundation for using Machine Learning and AI to create fast, rich and high-quality Metadata to support better discovery for users and speed to market for publishers.
This webinar will introduce Maestro’s technology engine and share how Maestro works with:
- A cloud-based metadata extraction and management system
- Cloud solutions and dynamic workflow tools (Azure, MS services, K2 workflows and business critical system integration)
- Informit XML schemas to JATS/BITS inputs and outputs.
We’ll share a live demonstration of this early version of the solution and discuss the current benefits and limitations of AI and Machine Learning. Along with a sneak peak at a new integrated publishing platform (Literatum) Informit will share some ideas on the future and opportunities for industry partners to be involved in the development of the platform.
VALA Committee member Michael Tully will pioneer this Under the Hood event with colleagues from Informit.
