VALA Events 2020: Leaning In Series

The fourth meeting in this series continues the discussion with the Public Library sector in an informal and supportive environment. VALA President Michelle McLean will start the conversation on resetting for life beyond coronavirus and what the ‘new normal’ might mean to public libraries.

Attendance at previous events is not a prerequisite for registration; new voices are welcome. This 1-hour event will be run as a Zoom Meeting.

Topic: Public Libraries – Discussion No.4

It has been interesting to see the series of measures, practices and services that public libraries have initiated during the crisis. Now, as we all consider how to navigate the post-COVID-19 future, the question ‘what is the new normal?’ is at the forefront of our minds. Planning a way forward and redefining what is ‘business as usual’ will be the focus of this conversation.

To keep it conversational, inclusive and personal, we’re limiting numbers to 25.

The Public Libraries Leaning In is free to attend, but you must be employed or previously employed in a public library. No proof required, we’ll take your word for it.
