In response to the COVID-19 situation, VALA will hold its’ first online Annual General Meeting on Wednesday 24 June 2020. We invite members only to the AGM, which will be delivered via the Zoom platform.
VALA’s 2020 AGM is an important opportunity for eligible members to contribute to VALA’s future. Following a comprehensive review, the VALA Committee will be presenting a motion to update VALA’s Rules of Association. The changes will update their intent and their language to reflect the Association we believe members want us to be. Please contact email@example.com for a summary of the proposed changes, a copy of the VALA Rules incorporating the changes or a list of FAQ.
In addition, we are calling for Nominations to vacancies on the VALA Committee and other key volunteer roles, including the newly-created Finance Committee and the Organising Committees for Tech Camp 2021 and the VALA2022 Biennial Conference. These are valued roles within a strongly-connected professional network, and we welcome expressions of interest from eligible members. Elections and/or appointments to the VALA Committee will be conducted during the AGM; appointments to other volunteer roles will be determined by the incoming Committee at its first meetings after the AGM.
