The Library and Information world is saddened by the news that Paul Reynolds died on the weekend. A champion for open access and creative commons in Australasia, Paul will be sorely missed by many. His contribution to our industry has been invaluable as a commentator but also as an advocate for libraries.
He was awarded The Best Blogger of VALA 2010. His contributions and questions at the conference were thoughtful and stimulating.
Paul’s work with mcgovernonline and the National Library of New Zealand has helped many understand the role that openness and sharing of information has in building community. Our thoughts are with Paul’s family and friends. His contributions to our industry are lasting.
