The VALA Committee extends a special welcome to our first time delegates, and invites you to join us on the SAGE Red Carpet for the VALA2014 First Timers’ Morning Tea.

Entry is by wearing a green lanyard for the VALA2014 First Timers’ Morning Tea, a friendly, informal opportunity to meet the VALA Committee and each other.

The VALA2014 Conference Dinner moves this year to the brilliantly transformed and visionary National Gallery of Victoria. You will be delighted to find that Sir Roy Grounds’ original Water Wall still greets you as you enter the building. The Great Hall features Leonard French’s stunning stained glass ceiling as the perfect backdrop for what is sure to be a memorable VALA2014 Conference Dinner.

VALA’s most prestigious information and technology award, the Robert D. Williamson Award, will be presented during the evening. Following dinner, a live band will perform your dance favourites on centre stage.

Travel to Dinner Venue

Conference Dinner guests are invited to make their own way to the National Gallery of Victoria. Walking distance is approximately 1.5km from the MCEC. Exit the MCEC at the Clarendon Street end and head north along Clarendon Street. Turn right onto Yarra Promenade and continue along until St Kilda Road. Turn right into St Kilda Road. Access is via the main entrance, behind the spectacular Water Wall.
