The Future of Libraries
Caught on camera at VALA2014 – the next generation of industry leaders. Pictured here are RMIT’s VALA Student Award winners from the past 3 years – (from left to right) Penny Cook (2013), Blair Gatehouse (2012) and Benjamin Chadwick (2011) with Senior Lecturer Dr Sue Reynolds from RMIT University. Great to see young professionals investing in their future at VALA2014.

VALA2014 New Keynote
The Power of Six
VALA is excited to announce the sixth and final keynote speaker for VALA2014.
Dr Matt Finch, current Reader-in-Residence for Parkes Shire, New South Wales, writes and makes fun things for people to do in public places. Expert in the unusual (think time travel, robots, zombies), Matt has spoken on literacy issues in both the British and Australian Parliaments, as well as writing on pop culture, science, education, and community outreach for print, broadcast, and online outlets around the world. Prepare yourself for “library burlesque”.
