What is it: If you’ve ever needed to convert a document from one format to another, you’re going to love Pandoc. This short talk will introduce the free Pandoc utility and demonstrate how you can use it in GLAM work.
Who is it for: A rapid tour of the basic features of Pandoc for people who have never used it before. You will learn what is it and why it’s useful. At the end you should be able to run some simple examples yourself. This will suit people who are familiar with the command line (Windows, Mac or Linux), and need to manage documents in a variety of markup and publication formats.
Presenter: Alec Clews
If you want to follow along during the talk you can find setup information at https://github.com/alecthegeek/pandoc-intro/wiki. You will also find the slides there after the talk.
