The regular VALA Meeting for March has been replaced by a joint seminar presented by VALA - Libraries, Technology and the Future, in association with the State Library of Victoria and Public Libraries Victoria Network.

Public libraries around the world are redefining their roles and reinventing themselves in order to ensure their survival in a digital world. The iPad is the tipping point, a change that has been described as being as profound as the invention of the printing press.

This is a wonderful opportunity to hear two library movers and shakers share their ideas on this trend: Christine Mackenzie from Victoria’s Yarra Plenty Regional Library will speak broadly on ‘Libraries After the iPad’, and John Blyberg from Darien Library in Connecticut will focus on ‘Top Technology Trends’.
